PLANNING TIMELINE

ON THE DAY YOUR DATES ARE CONFIRMED:

  • Book the hall or some other large space (we have run the programme in the school library before).

  • Start identifying business people to be judges on the final day of MaiBiz.  We need 5 judges. 

  • Make sure there are no clashes for your venue and student times e.g. students are not away at camp when they should on MaiBiz!

6-8 WEEKS TO MAIBIZ

  • Promote MaiBiz to your Yr 12 students.  Students do not have to be studying business to attend.

  • Use the 'Student Overview' to help sell the programme to facalities 

  • Book your judges (we need 5 or 6 judges based on a course of 80 students)

  • Book the computer suite (we will need computers from the afternoon of Day 1 to lunchtime Day 3.

  • Have the MaiBiz Business Plan installed on the schools network.

  • Purchase the students resources (follow the guidelines on the 'Students Resources' sheet.

  • Send the 'Presenters Schedule' back to mark@maibiz.co.nz

  • Check student numbers and that students do not have a clash with other courses during the 3 days. 

  • Contact the media (make sure they bring a photographer!)

  • Send invite to parents and grand parents to attend.

WEEK LEADING UP TO MAIBIZ

THE DAY BEFORE MAIBIZ

  • Hall set-up complete as per 'Hall Plan' (find the plan in the Teacher Resources tab).

  • Have NZQA assessments printed off.
